Heading out of the Wildlife Refuge after a very long day of entertaining photography and we observed this lovely American Kestrel gripping the tree top and swaying in the breeze a bit. Not much longer to wait, and probably decided that my paparzzi presence and equipment was not invited, she quickly ascended into the air and immediately began a hovering search overhead for a late breakfast.
