Location
My regular job takes me to many homes and areas. I am constantly on the watch for some picture opportunity. This particular hawk used the windy day to hover, and kept diving. I went to capture where it was diving to, and was about to give up, when I finally noticed it. The road was perfectly eye level, and the sun was too my right and behind me. Brentwood, Tennessee, USATime
It was about 2 in the afternoonLighting
I try to get eye level shots as much as possible. The particular road created that, but more than that, the sun was behind and to my right, for that angled lighting, that I prefer.Equipment
My favorite combo so far, but growing, is my Canon 90D with the Sigma 150-600 contemporaryInspiration
I love wildlife of all kinds, but raptors have such a majestic, powerful, and determined countenance to them, that I love to capture.Editing
My main editor is Darktable.. Although I can sharpen and denoise just fine, with that application, my particular workflow, for time saving, is Topaz Sharpen AI, saved as a raw, so that I can continue in Darktable. This particular photo utilized that workflow, but only sharpened, cropped, and the highlights raised slightly. In my camera bag
Batteries, lens cleaner, tripod, extra SD card, my Canon 18-135, and nd filters.Feedback
