Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my back yard.

Time

I took this picture mid day around 2-3 on a rainy day when I was showing another photographer the cows my neighbor had. We walked past the tree/bush and saw the beauty in the color on a gloomy day... The purple hues just spoke to me.

Lighting

With all the browns, and greens I wanted to show the beauty in the purple hues. For there is beauty and photographic moments in the simplest things around us.

Equipment

Crazy thing is I actually took this with my cell phone.. nothing more nothing less..

Inspiration

The way the purple jumped out at me amongst the dark colors surrounding it..

Editing

I did edit it to pull out the colors and make it pop. I simply used the app Snapseed it's a must have for cell phone users to work on their photos..

In my camera bag

Well, funny thing is I stopped 7 yrs ago taking pics due to a nasty divorce. I have no bag no equipment just my phone and when I spent the day this photo was taken with my photographer friend I saw how happy she was doing this. So I took a few pics and she was over the moon with the pics I took so she inspired me to get back into photography. I have since ordered a cannon 2000D & a tripod. I can't wait til they arrive!!!!
