This picture looked like a pink starburst to me

It was a beautiful sunny day and, the sky was blue, with some puffy white clouds

I was taking a picture of my friend in our Zumba class, and she suddenly started laighing just as I took the picture

I took this picture of a moving train going through the Alps from my tour bus window

Location

On the island of Skopolos, Greece

Time

I took it at 1:30 p.m. I had just got off the boat from Skiathios and saw the church and the beautiful water and knew I wanted to walk up the hill and take this picture

Lighting

It was a 38 degrees out and the sun was blazing, lighting up the church and the water. I ducked behind the church to get enough shade to show the contrast between the church and the water

Equipment

Samsung 22 Ultra

Inspiration

I have always loved the colour of the water in Greece and how they paint their buildings white. I wanted to capture the combination of the brilliant white of the church and the azure blue and emerald sea

Editing

I just used a bit of saturation

In my camera bag

Just my cell phone

Feedback

I find if the lighting is not good enough, wait for the right moment or find something to block the power of the sun
