Selective color side view of an old red Santa Fe railroad caboose rail car. Caboose rail cars came into use in the 1830s. They started as a simple shelter for rail crew to observe from, and evolved into a sort of rolling employee lounge. Some were equipped with sleeping quarters, kitchens, and offices. This particular car was built in 1942 and saw many years of faithful service before retiring to the train station in Cleburne, Texas. The number of miles turned to memories on this beautiful old rail car is simply staggering when all tolled. Shot in Cleburne, Texas. © Rob Heber - All Rights Reserved.
