It is always more difficult to think about more than two options, but it is way more realistic.
I often feel suspicious about a problem that only seems to present two options as a solution.

I took this in my herb garden during the rainy season in a small town in Mexico, right before the rain, hence the special lightTime
In the afternoon, an hour or so before sunset, but with dense clouds about to rain with a stormLighting
The light was very dramatic, sunshine on one side of the sky, a deep dark storm cloud on the other, water in the air. Everything looked fantastic, and even a macro shot like this had interesting light because of itEquipment
My good old Canon Rebel xti, she is the quick grab of my gear. I used a Compact macro lens too. It is just hand held. And I did some color editing on GIMPInspiration
Its pure form: everything connecting and bifurcating, a natural pattern of multiplicityEditing
Yes, color editing, I took it from Green to turquoise with some edits in the hue to make it more otherworldly. I used GIMP as the software. I also heightened contrast a bitIn my camera bag
I am not good at remembering the particulars of my gear. I am very sorry. I name my cameras and my lenses and usually just think of them with names. Barbarella is the name of my very old Canon Xti, my Nikkon D7100 is called Coyolxauhqui. These are my two main cameras. I do not remember the particulars of lenses I use.Feedback
When the light is magic, just drop what you are doing , take your camera out, take a full 360 look around and then just shoot, everything looks wonderful with the right light, and unusual light often makes you really see things you might not usually look at, let alone photograph.
