My wife and I were at Bryce Canyon enjoying all of the snowfall we had received the night before (I think if was 32" that we woke up to on New Years Day). We had been photographing the canyon since almost before the sun rose, and the sun had just come back out. I saw a crow flying around and it had perched at the top of the tree on the left side of the image (its top is at the upper left intersection of thirds). I raised my camera to get a shot of the crow, but he took off before I was ready. It turned out to be a great shot as the crows taking off shook a lot of snow loose, and it was falling to the ground in big chunks and in snow dust. I took a photo of that snow falling towards me while looking straight up. It wasn't until I got the shot on my computer that I realized the crow was still in the image (near the bottom, left-center) flying away.
