I had stopped photographing this barn with the giant American flag hanging on the front. While walking forward to capture the image, I noticed these barn swallows flying, diving, and turning on a dime. Barn swallows are like F-16 fighter jets due to their incredible speed and exceptional quick jerking maneuvering in the air. I began to make the birds a part of the image, and I just started to click when they seemed to be together close to the barn. As difficult as they were to see and capture being so small, I included three swallows in my composition. Because of these flights with the flag prominent, they became patriotic barn swallows.
