I was asked to cut down several scrub trees, this mantid was in the mess of the fallen tree and was just so magnificently Camouflaged on the trunk of the tree, I was lucky to get this picture before it scooted away

Upon researching, this is a grizzled mantis, or a lichen mimic mantis.
