I took this shot this summer on a sunset whale watch fundraising for the organization I was interning at. Humpback whale behaviors are absolutely fascinating to me, and this summer was amazing because I got to witness so many behaviors I had never seen before. While I'm not a humpback whale researcher (yet), the whales on this trip were not feeding, so my guess is that this humpback was lobtailing and not kickfeeding.
