An extraordinarily marked Masdevallia seen at the San Francisco Orchid Show. The label was hidden with only the word 'leopard' visible.

The showy parts of Masdevallia flowers are actually its sepals with the petals and lip that we normally associate with orchids being very small and inside the flower. They are thus hybridized mostly for the color, shape, and size of the sepals.
