In June of 2014 I started to take a boat trip up the Hudson River through The Champlain Canal in our old family boat (1961 Skee Craft Mahogany boat) We got as far as the bridges at Ravena and I started feeling something off in the boat so we turned around and headed back. I stopped and refueled in Hudson and we continued on. We got just past the cement plant in Cementon and the motor just lost power and quit. I pulled the cowlings and restarted the motor and the flywheel was wobbling. Broken crankshaft. Worse yet an Ulster County Sheriff went by in their boat. I fired a flare and tried to flag him down and he just kept going! Some guy came by and towed me too a friends house in Saugerties. I had been taking pictures the whole trip and when I finally got home. I sent every picture to the editor of Hudson Valley Magazine on a whim. He called me about a month later and asked me if I could take the boat and photograph the towns along the Hudson from the boat for and article in the April 2015 Hudson Valley Magazine! I said Absolutely! Then I thought to myself.... OH NO! My boat is still broken. I told one of my cousins what was going on and he said
