What are the possibilities of a cheap, 0.95 aperture lens for star photography? I'll tell you:
Well, it has possibilities, but you're going to fight with the photo like a "billy goat" in full rutting season. What at first sight are two advantages (f-0.95 and cheap) quickly turn out to be in conflict with each other, and the effect of adding both virtues results in tremendous problems in the form of chromatic aberrations and a cocoma effect that makes you think that waxing your eyelashes is not such a bad idea. Anyway, the lens is a lot of fun, and it's surprisingly sharp at that extreme aperture, but it requires so much effort in editing that I wouldn't wish it on any winner of the Sony pano awards! ????
