During my hike in Willamette National Forest, I had the opportunity to observe a Fallow Deer in its natural habitat. Unfortunately, as soon as it noticed my presence, the Fallow Buck quickly fled. Undeterred, I continued on my hike and encountered another Fallow Buck. To my surprise, this one had a darker coat. Intrigued by this difference in appearance, I conducted some research and found that only mature Fallow Deer Bucks have a reddish coat adorned with spots.
