"Le vieux bassin", in Honfleur, France. Being from Quebec City in Canada, and living in Montreal, Honfleur holds very special meaning for me. Samuel de Champlain left from this very port to navigate across the Atlantic ocean and establish Quebec City in 1608. I chose to shoot this image on black & white 120mm film to give a timeless quality to the picture. These fisherman's houses around the port were almost left untouched. In 2022, I lived in the city of Honfleur for a total of 9 months with my girlfriend and my dog. This experience was vers nurturing.
