Location
Pilbara desert, near Karijini national park.Time
Yet another amazing golden sunrise over the desert. Am very lucky to get to witness these daily with my job here in the mine.Lighting
That golden light really makes the ironstone hills pop. Soft light that turns into super hot blown out 50c temp days. So taking advantage of the amazing golden hour is essentialEquipment
My trusty DJI mini3 pro with polar pro CP filter on for this one. That circular polariser really helps lift those coloursInspiration
The ridge behind camp is my happy place. I’ve hiked all through these hills . And been to places no white person has ever seen. There is more beauty in these hills then just the value of the iron ore.Editing
Mostly just clean up in light room but of dodge and burn and highlight work.In my camera bag
I run a canon R6m2, rf 15-35L,24-105L,and 100–400stm lens in bag generally. I have a small vintage collection of lenses I like to use as well sometimes. Mini3 pro and large filter collection. And canon G7X3 for video for my you tube channel. I run 3 legged thing tripods Winston and Albert. A shimoda explorer v2 bag zendure battery bank. NiSi filters for my main camera and polar pro for my drone. Audio all rode gear, wireless go 2, and video micro go 2. Prograde and sandisk memory cards depending who’s cheaper at the time.Feedback
Get to location an hour before you believe you should be. The best light is short and if your not in the air at the spot it’s gone.
