This cute little gray and white female is a true neighborhood cat and likes to lounge in my garden. She can often be seen napping in the sun or if it gets too warm, in the shade of the daylilies. I've asked several neighbors about her and found out that the original owner died and this cat has returned to a semi-feral existence. One heigbor leaves food and water for it, the next door neighbor leaves the basement door open for it to sleep in at night and all of us benefit by her keeping pesky rodents at bay. She misses her original owners touch and won't let any of us near her, this is about as close as we can get.

We've considered contacting Animal Care and Control, but they would only put her down, she is fixed and not harmful to anyone unless they try to pet her.
