I participated in a rescue of a young accompanied Anhinga (as shown), which had a wad of yarn stuck on its serrated bill. A rescue team from Audubon had attempted to catch her for several days, a net carrying volunteer quickly put the net over the Anhinga but also fell off a short embankment. I was able to help the volunteer up the embankment with the Anhinga in tow. Eventurally we were able to remove the yarn and the netting got stuck on her bill too....
