Some days the natural backlighting of the setting sun can emphasize details you may not otherwise capture. In this image, the detail on the right side of the owl's face really stands out. You can even see depth in its beautiful eyes. I was out watching the sunset when this GHO silently floated in and landed on a fence post 30 feet from me.
