That first whiff of springtime - the snow half-melted, the sun setting against higher and higher latitudes. There's a sudden urge to move, to catalyze change, to drive into the wild feral nowhere and see what happens. Red taillights burn into the horizon, which burns into your retinas. Summer's coming, but spring must come first, and the brain runs neon hot against the still-cold confines of the thawing world.
My family said they're "ambivalent" about this photo. My partner says he digs it. I hated it for a day, thinking it was garbage, and then returned two days later to find that yeah, actually, it's okay.
