The Dorfman Theatre (formerly the Cottesloe Theatre) is the smallest of London’s National Theatre complex. Completed in 1976 after a 13 year wait, the National Theatre occupies a prime spot on the south bank of the Thames. Constructed in a Brutalist architectural style which is a style of design and building that emerged during the 1950s in the United Kingdom, among the reconstruction projects of the post-war era. The style commonly makes use of exposed, unpainted concrete or brick, angular geometric shapes and a predominantly monochrome colour palette.
