Location

I took this photo in my studio!

Time

This was taken at my absolute favorite time of day in my studio. I have the perfect large windows and the sun shines through them just the right way. This was shot at 4:23 PM on February 26th.

Lighting

In the afternoon the light shines through my large windows and it can be hard to work with. I love light. I think it's so much fun to work with. Whether it's natural or artificial I want to make the most of it. With this light, I knew it was going to be hard for the subject staring straight into the sun, but we wanted to try to give a sunlit, almost golden hour meets 90's bright light feel to our images.

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon Z7 with a 50mm F/1.8mm lens & all natural light.

Inspiration

Honestly, I found this amazing backdrop at society6.com and and I wanted to shoot something with a rock-'n'-roll but give is a 90's twist feel.

Editing

I edited it with a new preset to give it a darker, slightly orange feel, I had to edit the white balance for the sun, sharpened it and ran it and that was it.

In my camera bag

I always have my Nikon Z7. With my I carry my 50mm F/1.8 & 35mm F/1.8. The last thing I always have in my bag is my Godox V860III.

Feedback

Find a space with great open lighting. Search for your perfect time of day, especially now that the time has changed. Honestly, I spent hours on society6 looking through their tapestries. Take time, look through them, maybe you'll spark a new idea through that.
