I captured this shot in February of 2023 in the Englewood Arts District in Independence, Missouri with my Nikon Coolpix B500 camera. I don't do much black and white photography work but really had the sense this shot needed to be done this way to set the mood and the time in this country when you saw "five and dimes" in every town, big or small.
