High Country Friths Castle

This is my Grandpa Friths dream home that he designed and built , as a replica of his favourite castle in England , designed during a therapeutic adventure that he designed for himself after World War Two where he worked as a highly revered bridge engineer . He designed a therapeutic adventure to England after the war , where he focused on studying castle design , and visited many many castles with his sketchbook , for months , drawing and studying the designs . To his surprise , he fell in love with one castle in England best , and spent a couple of weeks drawing drawings of it , while sitting on the grass all around the castle , drawing many drawings . He then came home to Canada . He was born and raised in Toronto yet his parents were from England so visiting England meant a lot to him as he had always heard stories about it . He hired an architect to help perfect his design of High Country Friths Castle , and spent many years finding the proper hill that suited his vision , where he built the glorious dream home , built and designed with HEART AND SOUL . It's a brilliant design and many of the high calibre materials have been upcycled , which means that each material has a meaningful story that is filled with deep inspiration for me . My dream is to some day buy it back to have it back in our family . I was deeply fortunate and blessed to grow up in the High Country Friths Castle , located on a hill above the tiny town of Grand Valley , about an hour drive north of Toronto . The Grand River , serves as a moat between the home and the village below at the base of the hill that the stately home sits upon . The frequency of the home is absolutely wonderful beyond what words can really say . I love the story of this real life fairytale deeply as it most likely has a lot to do with why I am a visionary and an artist . I also love to design architecture and have done so since my early childhood says . Growing up in this home was a great education . It's a very special place where we used to entertain quite often . Our guests would always tell us that they felt better there than anywhere else . There is a real mystical energy there that fills your soul with INNER PEACE when you walk in the door .
