An old, sickly, stunted cat and a young female cat became inseparable friends. She looked after him, licked his fur and showed him lots of affection. They lived outside but I looked after them and fed them. My partner, who was a nurse, saved the old male twice by acting as a veterinary assistant, operating on a serious infection in his face and giving him antibiotics. But one day the old cat disappeared, and now her friend is lonely. I like this picture because it looks like their backs are merging, but they were very much merged in their daily lives.
