Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is of the Cockspur Lighthouse. It is the oldest and smallest lighthouse in the state of Georgia. It was taken on Tybee Island this past December 2022. It was a cold, misty, dreary day and I was enjoying watching the fishing boats come in for the day while being escorted by hungry seagulls.

Time

It looks like it was late in the day but, it had been druzzling rain, very foggy, and COLD all day and it was only about 2:30pm.

Lighting

I didn't have to do much of anything as far as editing to this photo other than some cropping. That's actually how the day appeared. You can feel the dampess and cold in the photo.

Equipment

Since it was so damp, I just grabbed my Nikon COOLPIX B500 (instead of my "good manual" camera) for some quick shots of whatever I found. Didn't want to risk getting the other one wet.

Inspiration

The lighthouse and boat were perfectly setup and practically begging for their photo to be taken. I had to oblige them.

Editing

Very little post processing needed other than some cropping on this photo

In my camera bag

I usually have my Nikon D5500 w lenses : Tamron 18-200mm 3.5-6.3 & Tam 18-400mm 3.5-6.3 & Nikon (prime)35mm 1.8 Filters UV. CPL. CFL for all w tulip hoods 5 or 6 charged batteries And my 'fall back' camera Nikon COOLPIX B500 W NDL filter And handfuls of AA batteries And of course water bottles & protein bar inside about 3 ziploc bags for safety :))

Feedback

I just always Google google google for unique places & RIDE THE ROADS looking for anything Interesting.
