Photographed six weeks after the Black Summer bush fires of 2019-2020, McKenzies Beach is a small gorgeous undeveloped beach 14km south of Batemans Bay, where the fires roared all the way to the sand's edge, The Black Summer fires resulted in devastating lose of life, homes, flora and fauna. Many residents in the Eurobodalla, where 501 homes were lost, and in other parts of Australia have yet to rebuild.
