I love street style, it's everything about photography I love. All in the moment, you have to make it happen on the spot - and in seconds, usually there's a pack of wanna be photogs 30-40 right behind you. So you have to get the person comfortable, nail down the light, composition and pose in about 5 second. It's all about NOW.
Between shows (runway) there's always big gaps of time, or you will be running from one location to another. it used to be in one location back in the day - Bryant Park, then LIncoln Center when the backer was Mercedes, also
Fashion week was called MBFW. Once Mercedes bailed the shows are much more interesting - they are in an iconic NYC post office at Penn station, and another post office in the West Village. I shot from the pit all shows all day - now I get to get out and run around popping the fashionistas that are going to the shows, models and designers running from show to show...I have been doing this for 12 years now....so more to come.
