Location
This photograph was taken in my home studio, doing light tests.Time
It was taken in winter around 6pm, there wasn't much natural light, from the beginning the idea was to use a honeycomb flash. Being a self-portrait, the camera was on a tripod with a timer, the background was black.Lighting
The lighting was very simple, a studio flash with halogen light, from the front, with medium intensity. The objective was precisely what is seen in the shot, to create an atmosphere of mystery and low key.Equipment
I used a D200 camera with the 55mm kit zoom lens at f3.5. Having no way to focus well, the aperture took it very high (more than necessary). I always look for the iso to be as low as possible to avoid noise.Inspiration
The goal was to take low key, black and white shots. As I mentioned, they were light tests for other shots that I had to do. I have always liked the backlight, low key, mystery and leave it to the interpretation of others.Editing
I always use Lightroom and later Photoshop, if I need to modify some details. In this case just use lightroom with the basic parameters of contrast, shadow and exposure. In my camera bag
Nikon D200 or D810, Nikon 50mm f1.8, Tokina 55-70mm f2.8, Tokina 77-200 f2.8, Yongnuo Flash, Panasonic Eneloop Rechargeable Batteries.Feedback
