Hi. I'm Casie. Growing up as an undiagnosed autistic Capricorn in Mississippi way back in the olden days before Autism was ever on anyone's radar, back before there were such things as cell phones and internet, I was considered the quiet one, often lost in her own little world. If I wasn't in my room writing poetry because I could feel the dance between pen and paper with each melodic cursive word, I was lost in the woods surrounding our home, making friends with the wild things, exploring forgotten pathways and chasing rainbows. The natural world has always been and will always be my special interest. It's the one interest that has never waned over the decades. In junior high, I also found a special interest in photographing nature in an attempt to preserve those awe-inspiring moments of respite found there. The natural world is where I feel most at home. It's where I find peace and contentment. Dreams awaken in the gazing of the clouds. Mysteries unfold deep in the forest. Wisdom whispers ever so gently in the night sky and landscapes open the expanse of space and frees the soul. It is the only place that beckons my inner child out to play and judgements cease to exist. It is my hope that my work inspires the same within you.
