Location
This photo was taken aroudn the farm where I live in Guapiles, Costa Rica. This is our neighbor's farm and they were getting ready for planting.Time
I like to fly my drone around sunset time cause I usually get decent light and might be able to capture a beautiful sunset. Being a tropical country, Costa Rica has very consistent day / night cycles. The sun always sets some time between 5 and 6 pm. This photo was taken around 5:30pm. It was starting to get dark and I was flying the drone back when I saw this scene.Lighting
It was a starting to get dark when I took this one. The sun was just about to set.Equipment
I used my Mavic 2 Pro drone and my phone.Inspiration
I was just flying around searching for nice little scenes. I started flying the drone back to me looking straight down and caught this scene. The contrast created by the tree and lines caught my eye so I inmediately stopped the drone. Once I was flying overhead I started composing to get the best shot I could and this was the result.Editing
I always shoot in Raw so there is always some post-processing needed. I try to be as faithful to what I see as possible. For this particular photo I added a bit of exposure, color, contast and calibrated the tones. Nothing too drastic. In my camera bag
For this I only had my drone equipment which includes the Mavic 2 pro drone, the controller, my celphone, extra blades, 3 extra batteries, a landing pad and a range extender.Feedback
Go out and shoot. Even if you don't find anything you like you still get some practice. Keep your eyes open and stay observant cause sometimes this will cause you to find scenes you weren't even looking for. Look at things from different perspectives to find the best shot possible and keep the creativity flowing. Lastly, have fun and share with others! :)
