Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my kitchen - South Florida

Time

It was after 10:00 pm

Lighting

I was able to finally get my hands on a new Nifty Fifty lens from a co-worker. I spent the day looking at the lens on my desk. I just couldn't wait to get home and try it out. I finally reached home that night, put the lens on, and started to click around. Leilah saw me coming into the kitchen I looked at her and like a professional model she got in her position and remained steady as I lowered myself to the ground a bit and took the shot.

Equipment

I use a Canon EOS Rebel T5 - and my new Nifty fifty (50mm F1.8).

Inspiration

The passion of having a new lens and being so excited about photography.

Editing

I had to edit a bit clean up the dirty floor and render to BW, the top of her back was cut off. I was able to reconstruct the top of the photo to show her full body and make the color adjustments.

In my camera bag

I have very basic gear, I carry my t5 and my 5D Classic, three lens, and two flashlights ready to go. Also have small accessories and tools- cleaning pen, Tripod, polarizer, the sleeve of sd cards, and backup batteries.

Feedback

I captured this picture out of passion and excitement. My advice is to do what you have to do to keep your passion for photography burning.
