Location
This shot was taken in Sentosa, Singapore 's resort Island. This place is not only visited by tourists but also Singaporeans as a getaway from the fastpace city life.Time
It was taken during sunset and on a weekday. I purposely chose a weekday just so it's not that crowded but just nice enough to be able to try to catch scene with people walking in front of the camera but with a purpose, a meaning just like that.Lighting
I love taking silhouette, therefore I knew I would be able to take catch a composition like this with back lighting since it is sunset.Equipment
It's interesting to note that I took a similar shot with my Olympus PEN-F with a pro grade 12-40mm lens but this shot submitted was not that. At the same time, I used a Xiaomi 11t Camera on this.Inspiration
I kinda missed Sydney Bondi beach where you can catch similar scene like this with surfers Roaming around the water. It took me by surprise when on the day this shot was taken, there was a surfer in the area.Editing
I believe I did not do any heavy processing. Just a light touch up on the shadow and highlight. In my camera bag
I normally have my Olympus PEN-F WITH a 12-40mm pro grade lens. Will definitely carry a cpl filter with it. At the same time, will also have my dji osmo pocket video camera in case I need to take videos.Feedback
Believe in yourself and don't feel restricted just because you don't have big expensive gear. If you don't need a shot to be blown up into a theater size poster, you don't need to worry about gear. It's really about composition and I submitted this shot taken by my phone's camera instead of my Olympus to prove a point.
