Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken remotely during Covid-19 lockdown, it was taken at Carla's home studio. We decided to do an old hollywood glamour style shoot,

Time

This was taken during a afternoon shoot on 7th February 2021 at 13:26

Lighting

As it was shot in a home studio, we had access to softboxes that we used to create a light shadow and highlight the gorgeous tones of Carla's hair.

Equipment

Fuji X-T3 with 18-55mm f2.8-f4, 400W powered flash with softbox & tripod

Inspiration

Carla's look suits the evening gown and big glamorous hair of old hollywood. She has this cream & black dress that suited the vibe perfectly.

Editing

Basic level adjustments in lightroom then some minor retouches in photoshop. a lot wasn't needed here as it was almost perfect straight from camera.

In my camera bag

As this was a remote shoot, I was using kit that wasn't my standard kit. However I usually have Canon EOS R6 & 1D X Bodies, a selection of Prime lenses (35mm, 50mm, 85mm) & 28-300mm Sigma Lens. AD200pro with various heads including H200R.

Concepts of old hollywood can be done in many ways, I hope my image gives you inspiration for your own interpretation of the style.
