Location
The photo was taken in a small bay in my hometown, one of my favorite places as it quite often gets foggy in the morning it there.Time
Photo was taken on a weekend morning, looked out the window with the morning coffee in my hand and it looked like a beautiful sunrise. So picked up the camera bag and went down to the water and discovered a fin mist over the bay and it looked absolutely beautiful.Lighting
The mist over the water created a softness to morning light as the sun came over the trees.Equipment
I shot this in a Canon EOS R with a EF 17-40 F4 lens. No filters was needed as the mist created the soft light.Inspiration
It was the boat and the way the sun came up just over the trees, just look beautiful. Also I wanted to try and use the boats sides to draw you into the photo, but this was more just luck of the moment.Editing
Had to focus stack three photos to get it all into focus as the lens was about 30 cm from the boat. So started with Lightroom and then stacked them in photoshop. As a last thing I tried to emphasize the boat by soften the background a bit.In my camera bag
Canon EOS R with tree lenses, EF 17-40 F4, RF 24-105 F4 and last a EF 70-200 F2,8. Also have a Mavic pro 2 and so ND filters.Feedback
Always try new things, I had seen something like this on YouTube and just wanted to test this technique. This is what so fun with photography, there is always something new to learn. And for an amateur like me, it's perfect to watch You Tube clips and then try to do it yourself. So definitely the best advice, try new things.
