Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photograph at the Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica.

Time

This was taken at sunset while I was taking a walk with my wife.

Lighting

The only lighting was natural sunlight.

Equipment

This was shot with an iPhone 7 using automatic settings.

Inspiration

Walking along the beach, I noticed how nice the sunset looked. I liked the way the sky looked framed by the two structures, so I took a quick picture.

Editing

I did a little post processing in Lightroom. I am new to Lightroom and still learning how to use it. I believe I used one of the ViewBug presets to add a more light and then adjusted the colors and contrast to my liking.

In my camera bag

Currently I only have an iPhone XR and a GoPro Hero 4. I am getting a Nikon Z50 for Christmas though!

Feedback

There are always interesting or beautiful things to photograph. You just have to be looking and have a camera handy, even if it is an old iPhone.
