I took this photo in a moving vehicle on a rural road in the lowlands of Kwazulu Natal.Time
We always leave very early wherever we stay overnight. This is what we do over weekends, get in the car and just drive and take photos. The early morning light is absolutely breathtaking.Lighting
Just the natural pearly light of a cold morning in a South African winter. It can be misty, overcast or clear. It does not matter, nature in its pristine state in my country is amazing.Equipment
Just my Canon and a macro zoom lens in tracking mode. It takes amazing photos when travelling fast. It focuses on an object far out en then the stabilizer does its job.Inspiration
I am always inspired to take photos. I got my camera a year ago and have taken more than 20000 photos. I take photos nearly every day. Of anything...there is beauty to be found in the most mundane.Editing
Yes, the reflection was created first by mirroring and then I applied a distorting filter to immitate water. I changed the ambiance slightly to focus light towards the tree. I absolutely adore trees. In my camera bag
Camera in a seperate zip bag, 2 lenses, 3 batteries,a car charger, mini tripod, another normal charger for at home, lens cleaning equipment, lens caps, this all goes into a leather backpack for easy carrying. And of course my big tripod will also fit in there. Good planning and a love for leather bags.Feedback
Travelling and taking photos is a challenge. You have a moving car, shaking and rattling and most probably dirty windscreens. What makes that lens abolutely amazing is the ability to track, wide angled and absolutely stable. So I can only recommend getting this kind of lens if you like taking photos of nature but moving at the same time towards a destination, probably scenic and amazing in the late afternoon light.
