What a beautiful bird.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in our garden at home. These magnificent birds come every year for about a month on their travels to feast on our flowering bottle brush and melaleucas.

Time

it was taken late afternoon.

Lighting

Nice afternoon sun from behind.

Equipment

My Canon EOS 700D, f/7.1, ISO 800, 300mm focal length. Handheld.

Inspiration

I just love these little gems of birds and i love the contrast of the red bird on the cream melaleuca.

Editing

just slightly cropped.

In my camera bag

My lovely Canon 700D with 18-55 and 75-300mm lens, extra battery , extra SD cards and the tripod in the car.

Feedback

Always have your camera with you, keep your eyes peeled and patience and luck !
