Magnificent image. You are so lucky to have been able to visit this area. I have only been able to read about this location at this time. Perhaps when the world decides to return to normal. Congratulations.

Fantastic capture! One of my favourite places to visit in France, but I have yet to see the horses running through the surf!

Location
I took this photo in Camargue, the wet part of Provence dedicated to the breeding of bulls and horses . You can access the " manades " if you are accompanied. In my case I was accompanied by professional photographer Cecile DomensTime
the appointment was made in the marshes one hour before sunset. the light illuminated the scene from the leftLighting
the light was still enough to capture the movement of the mane and the drops of water . I was working in speed priority at 1/1000 and iso was on auto. AF was in continuous monitoringEquipment
this shot was on a sony 7R2 handheld with a zoom lens 70-300Inspiration
I am a veterinarian and I have particularly appreciated the feeling of freedom expressed by the Camargue horses which can run in preserved natural spaces . I triggered when the main horse took its paws out of the water and the mane roseEditing
I used the Lightroom development module to process the RAW file with an adapted LUT revealing the beautiful light of the momentIn my camera bag

the Camargue is magnificent but difficult for the photographers . You can not see anything because the farms are private fenced. I therefore recommend you if you want to take this kind of photos to be accompanied by people enjoying good relations with the breeders or to join in guided tours of the herds
