Location
The photo was taken in Batad Rice Terraces in the Philippines. It's part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the best well-preserved rice terraces in the Cordillera Region.Time
This was taken around 6:00am in the morning.Lighting
I remember this pretty memorable moment as it was raining hard the whole night before and hours before taking this shot. When suddenly this awesome burst of light appeared. Creating a colorful sunrise shining through the Batad Rice Terraces.Equipment
This was shot with a Fujifilm X-H1 and a Fujinon 10-24mm wide angle lens. I also used a Leofoto Tripod to setup for this shot. A NiSi filter (GND16) was also used to balance out the foreground and the sky.Inspiration
Goal is to give the majestic rice terraces a wider view.Editing
This was shot with multiple images to create this panoramic image. Panorama was created in Photoshop. In my camera bag
What's in my bag? I usually bring with me 2 camera bodies, a really sturdy tripod, 2 lenses, filters (since I love shooting landscapes), and a remote shutter.Feedback
Photographing landscape can really be hard especially with the ever changing climate. Just embrace whatever nature brings to you. Experiment with settings, mood of the place and you'll get incredible photos even if it's raining or a hot summer day. Research the location in advance so that you can be prepared for the weather and plan your shots ahead to save time.
