Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the small town of Florence, SC in the empty parking lot of the local theater that used to host many car meets.

Time

It was around the beginning of sunset, 7:30. I remember it so fondly because I just loved how the lighting made it the most beautiful time to take some shots.

Lighting

I’ve been working on car photography for about two years now and this shot has been the first of hopefully many that I found to be proud of.

Equipment

For this image, I just used my iPhone 8. I have a Nikon D3300 that I usually carry with me, but left it home. But I just couldn’t pass up this opportunity to hone my skills..

Inspiration

The sunlight.. the subject. They were both so beautiful, and beautifully placed to make the perfect shot.

Editing

No post processing for this

In my camera bag

I normally have my D3300, tripod, and standard zoom lens as I’m just starting out.

Feedback

It’s all in the timing of the day.. those hours when the daylight is not so overbearing, but still gleams just right over the objects you want to shoot.
