Location
This photo was taken in the small city of Peterborough, On, Canada where I currently reside. I took up photography as a hobby about 5 years ago. Each time I go out is a new learning experience and I am enjoying it every step of the wayTime
This is by far one of the best pictures that I have taken so far. I was out looking for a new place to take some pictures and found a small island to sit and watch the sun come up. I am always up very early in the mornings and head out the door with my camera in hand. I took this picture on September 18 2019 at 6:25 a.m.Lighting
I wanted my sunrise to have a captivating aura to catch the eye. I knew that as the sun rose, the lighting would change. I had to be patient and take a few pictures until I finally got the right lighting to achieve the aura of light around the sun.Equipment
This picture was taken on a Canon EOS Rebel T5. The lens I used was the Canon EFS 55-250mm Macro 0.85m/2.8ft. I did not use any other equipment.Inspiration
I have always seen so many pictures that other photographers take of sunsets, and I wanted something a little different. I set out to find the perfect place to take some sunrise pictures. I found the perfect spot and sat watching and waiting for the sun to start rising and begun to take a series of pictures. My patients paid off and I left feeling great about shots I got.Editing
To be honest, I am just learning how to use Adobe Photoshop. I had been using the basic adjustments in Adobe Lightroom. This picture did not need much post-processing. I only used the auto adjust and focus to make sure the picture was nice and crisp. In my camera bag
My bag is always packed.I keep a variety of stuff in this bag. I have my trusty Canon EOS Rebel T5 camera body. Next are my four fav lenses. Canon EF 50mm 1:1.8 0.45/1.5ft, Canon EFS 18-55mm Macro 0.25m/0.8ft, Canon EFS 55-250mm Macro 0.85/2.8ft and last but not least in lenses the Raynon High Definition Telephoto Lens 2.2x. I have a small lens case that I carry in my bag that contains a Vantage CU + 1 52mm, Vantage CU + 2 55mm and a Vantage CU +4 52mm. You'll also find a High resolution Ultra Violet filter as well as a High resolution Circular Polarizer. These were given to me. The last thing you will find in my bag is the first camera that got me hooked on taking pictures...the one and only Canon SX170 IS 16.0 MEGA PIXEL 5.0 - 80.0MM 1:3.5-5.9. Great little camera!Feedback
As a beginner, I still have a lot to learn. Going out each day, I don't know what the weather will bring or how long I will be out, but I have learned that connecting with nature and having a lot of patients and time will eventually get you the perfect picture, I am looking forward to learning so much more on my journey in photography. Our pictures tell a story and I can't wait to share more of my stories.
