Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on balcony of my house.

Time

It was late noon at summer, after one hot day when temperature come to acceptable 30 degrees of celsius, I was sitting with my sister and my niece on balcony, on fresh air and I decided to take a couple of photos.

Lighting

It was late noon , one or two hours until sunset, but my balcony was at the shade in this moment, and sun was behind one big cloud so I had soft light behind my back.

Equipment

This was shoot on Nikon D3300 with nikkor 35 mm lens with natural light.

Inspiration

My niece, of course. He was imitating a Hulk, and I got idea to photo him like boxer next to the wall.

Editing

I convert this photo to black and white mode, and done a little post processing, I raised contrast a little and raised shadows around the eyes.

In my camera bag

I have Nikon D3300 most often with nikkor 35 mm lens, I have 18-105 lens also and wide angle Tokina 11-16 2.8 , additional memory card, gorilla pod, macro tube and couple of filters.

Feedback

For photographing kids you need to be patient, because they can not be focused on posing, so you need to find right position and angle and to lower your camera on their level.
