Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in old warehouse while shooting music video. We blocked all of the windows to be able to turn on our lights and haze whole area.

Time

It was shot at noon but we were in small dark warehouse.

Lighting

Just 5 simple lights with different colours located behind the subject

Equipment

Panasonic Lumix GH4, kit lens

Inspiration

We were shooting music video and I wanted to try out the look, so I asked my colleague to stand in front of lights. He had hat and he was smoking so it was perfect for that shot.

Editing

I just played with exposure to darken blacks.

In my camera bag

I have my Fuji xt3, my beloved fuji 35mm 1.4, fuji 18-55mm 2.8-4 and also sigma 18-35mm f1.8, Freewell magnetic VND

Feedback

Use a lot of haze and smoke, use backlight.
