Behind The Lens

Location

This photos was taken in a home studio in Maryland. At the time I was still a novice photographer but had found my love of contrasty photos and slivers of Light!

Time

Since it was a home studio. I was able to create the atmosphere. Time of wasn’t even a thought!

Lighting

Light was a simple “One light set up!” Light on camera left 45 degrees down on subject . I believe I used a strip box and grid.

Equipment

My brand of choice is Nikon. I believe this was a D810 with my Nifty 50. Light was Alien Bee

Inspiration

Just wanted to try my hand at maternity shooting .

Editing

A little darkening of the shadows in light room. Although photoshop is great. I’m not a big fan of editing. Wasn’t you manipulate a photo. It no longer becomes what was in front of your lens at the time .

In my camera bag

As of right now it’s D750 , two Godox speed lights. A sigma 24-70 ,Nikon 50MM d series nothing much more.
