Wonderful capture. I am looking forward to seeing this in person, this June.

Location
This is Delicate Arch in Arches National Park in Moab, Utah. This is the featured arch for Utah tourism and is on the Utah license plate.Time
This was taken at sunset on March 8th, 2018 around 5:45 pm. We hiked up to the arch around 3:30 pm and waited for the good light.Lighting
The clouds turned pink as the sun was setting. The sandstone comes alive at sunrise and sunset in Arches National Park. That is the best time to photograph in Arches.Equipment
I shot this with my Nikon D810 with a 50mm lens with a tripod. f/8, 1/20 sec, ISO 400Inspiration
This was the first day of a Richard Bernabe photo workshop. My motivation for the workshop was to be guided to the best locations at the best time of day. I was not disappointed. Several of my photos taken were of portfolio quality and are hanging on my wall. While Delicate Arch has been photographed millions of times, this was my first trip to photograph it and I can call it my own.Editing
This photo required less processing than I normally do. I timed it right so that there were no people in the frame and so I didn't need to do any removal of people. I did some spot removal of distracting rocks. Added some brightness, exposure, dodge and burning, sharpening, and contrast in Photoshop. I had to tone down the pink shade of the mountains and make them look whiter. In my camera bag
I carry my Nikon D810 and a D7100. My main lens is usually a Nikon 24-85mm. I have a 18-35, 50, 18-200DX, Sigma 150-600 for wildlife, and a Rokinon 14mm for astrophotography.Feedback
Sunrise and sunset are the best times for shooting the sandstone in Arches. Bring lots of water in the summer time. Hiking to Delicate Arch can be difficult for those not in shape and not used to higher altitude. Definitely need a head lamp if hiking down in the dark as the trail is not well marked on the slick rock. Be patient. There will be a lot of people taking selfies standing under the arch.
