Location
I took this picture in the middle of my first period, which is gym. We were out on the tennis courts but it was so hot that day that my friend and I just sat in the sidelines in the shade.Time
This was during my first period and it was at 9:37 am.Lighting
Because this was earlier in the morning, the sun wasn't fully up but rising from the side, shining through the net and casting cool patterns on the court. Getting to play around with positioning the model to receive the effect from the sun was so fun!Equipment
This photo was taken on portrait mode on my iPhone 7+. The aperture was f/2.8, exposure was 1/556, focal length at 6.6/1 and ISO was 20.Inspiration
I like taking portraits of people. I focus on a person's "vibe" and try to reflect that in my photograph. Usually, their fashion is a huge influence of the location I choose to shoot in. However, this picture is a result of a totally spontaneous iPhone photoshoot during my gym class during school. I noticed that her outfit complimented the textures and the colors worked so well with the setting that I had to capture it!Editing
I darkened the lighting and contrast a tiny bit just to emphasize the shadows on her body and finished with a hint of VSCO's m5 filter. In my camera bag
I have my Canon Rebel t1i (although, I JUST upgraded to the Canon Rebel t7i just the other day! I'm still trying to figure all the functions on that though) with a couple lenses, usually one standard and one for far zoom.Feedback
Advice I would give for photographers trying to capture something similar is to be very mindful of the lighting from the sun. Shoot so that the sun is behind the fence for the shadow of the fence to appear on your model. Play around with your model and his/her poses to highlight the shadows. Also, do not fear if there are strangers in the back (especially out in public), if you play around with YOUR angles of how you are shooting your model, you will find the sweet spot of a good angle for your model and a vantage point that blocks out distractions of potential photo bombers.
