Location
I took this picture at my mother-in-laws house, shortly after they brought home their new puppy.Time
it was about 3 or 4 in the afternoon. We took the puppy outside so that she could relieve herself, puppy training, and get a little run time in the yard. she ran around for a bit chasing people. toward the end she was getting tired and was not running around as much. This left me the perfect opportunity to grab a few quick pictures.Lighting
Nothing special, it was late afternoon in late spring. Natural lighting.Equipment
This was taken with a Canon T3i with a 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens. Hand held, no other equipmentInspiration
My Mother-In-Law had asked me to bring my camera to grab a few pictures of the new puppy. I am always willing to snap pictures, so I showed up and had fun chasing a puppy.Editing
yes I did do a little post-processing, but nothing crazy. I adjusted the white balance a little, brought the exposure up just a touch. Raised the clarity, and brought the vibrancy up. Really just some basic editing. In my camera bag
My equipment has changed a little since I took this image. I have moved to a Canon 5D Mk4 now, and I love using my Canon 50mm f/1.4 prime lens, which has become my go to lens. I also have a 24-105mm f/4L IS USM that I find to be extremely useful and handy to have. I still carry my T3i in my case but mainly as a back up, and hardly every use anything but the 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens on it.Feedback
Patients, lots of patients, puppies and kids will eventually start to wear down, hopefully I just have more energy and can out last them. Though as I get older I am not so sure my energy reserves will hold out that long. I also find that I take what I can get, with both, trying to get them to do what you want is almost an impossibility. I am always ready with the camera in case they decide to do anything cute.
