Behind The Lens
Location
During a visit of Mayotte island in Indian Océan, I took this photo in the North of "Grande terre" near the fishing port of Longoni.Time
I had just left my work, I went off to explore the North of "Grande terre". The night was close. I arrived near the port of Longoni, when the tide let me glimpse these golden color rocksLighting
The light of the end of the day, the cloudy sky, the blue of the sea contrasted the golden color of rocks. It was impossible to resist . I was absorbed by the scene and It was necessary to immortalize the momentEquipment
This was shot on a NIKON D750, a NIKON AF-S NIKKOR 24-85 mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR with polarizing filter and ND filter for the long exposure. A tripod was necessary. No other equipement was involvedInspiration
For a long time because I wanted to photograph the mangrove swamp, these trees which undergo tides. The rocks which affect. These elements which are worked by the water. The cycle of the lifeEditing
Landscape photography requires a lot of processing. I use Capture NX-D to correct the white balance, saturation, ... and google Nik Collection with Photoshop to merge the 2 photographies to make an HDRIn my camera bag
I always have in my bag a NIKON D750, a NIKON AF-S NIKKOR 24-85 mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR, a NIKON AF-S VR Micro 105 mm f/2.8G IF ED, a TAMRON SP 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD, a CPL filter and a ND 400. a Cobra style flash a panoramic headFeedback
As specified in another Behind The Lens "BUT WHEN WE SAIL OUT OF THE HARBOUR ..." Make a first discovery of places ( google map, ... ). A lot of patience, the inspiration, your bag, to listen to the nature and especially ... Be lucky.
