Beautifully Done! I’m a West Coastline native, and Need to near the Ocean, for its smells, varying intensities, watching and listening to a wave on a big day crash against the cliff side rocks, and also admiring the world class Surf photographers practicing their art (wow! Brave and very knowledgeable they have to be; finally reaping the benefits of their craft in local publications related to the well known surf culture here. Long comment, but the photo struck me as such an admirer of ‘momma nature ocean wave water shots ‘.

Location
Hi The image was taken At kings Beach on the Sunshine CoastTime
It was one of those spectacular mornings, where the ocean just glasses off, not a breath of wind & the surf was pumping!Lighting
At this particular spot, most ppl like to shoot it in the afternoon light. I myself love the morning moody and lighting that bounces of the buildings and headland.Equipment
I shoot with a sonya6300 in a saltedline seafrog a6xxx series water housing. With my fav lens 16-50mmInspiration
I love how this wave just does its thing. It’s almost mechanical! And when all the elements line up, it can be so rewarding shooting reef breaks.Editing
There wasn’t much to do with this image. As the natural lighting was on point and the slickness of the ocean had made some amazing shine. Just a little vinettingIn my camera bag
The equipment that I carry with me always is my trusty a6300 10-18mm for early morning seascapes, with Hoya filters ndx400 & nd8. My 20mm, 50mm, 55-210. If I’m shooting portraits I like my a9 atm Sony has sent out a few lenses 70-200 and the 100-400 Which I’m enjoying using.Feedback
It’s one of those moments, right place, right time. I’m always checking weather charts, tides & wave forecast. Keep updated on what’s going on around you and be quick to take advantage of those little moments that turn into big ones?????
